Keith Olbermann, Quite Possibly the Coolest Man on the Planet

When I was younger, I had crushes on all sorts of guys - Andy Gibb, Shaun Cassidy, Scott Baio... Even today, I can name bunches of guys I think are super cute -Matthew McConaughey, Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Russell Wong, Chris Botti, Tiki Barber, just to name a (very) few. But, I think that Keith Olberman blows them all away. First by his urbane appearance, second by his savage articulateness, but finally, and most devastatingly, by his reasoned courage. If you have not seen his special comment on this eve of Independence Day - you should.

I actually have more-than-a-slight crush on Jon Stewart myself! LOL!

I 100% agree with you. I've had a crush on him for at least three years. I didn't see what he said the other day live, but I read the transcript and he gets a gold star for that one.

Oh I've had a crush on JS for years - have you seen "Playing by Heart"? He romances a standoffish Gillian Anderson. Can you believe that. When I saw him in that part, he went from cute former VJ to full-blown babe. Or course, now he's a flow blown god!

First off, welcome Liz! Noel has only awesome things to say about you. He turned me on to your blog on Saturday when he treated Cam and I to an extravagant belated birthday afternoon of Trader Joe's & Gelson's treats plus Pinkberry. Yum! Excellent blog, I've added a link here - hope you don't mind!

I'm a recently KO fan - just the last year or so, but boy did he cement his place in history with that out of the ballpark commentary. As I watched it, I began to be scared for him - wondering what our lovely current government might concoct to ruin him. That's some fucked up shit - that it would even cross my mind that such a thing could be a reality in this country at this time. Or maybe not.

Glad to come over to visit. That's so nice of Noel to share my blog with you. I'm glad he did.

I have also started to worry about Olbermann's saftey. Some folks think that nothing will happen to him because we live in America. But it's precisely because this is America, that I worry. Next thing we know, he's going to get arrested for drunk driving and be found with coke in his car. Or something.

By the way, I love the pregnant picture of you. That's the kind of picture that gets cherished forever.

Thank you, someone gave us the idea and fortunately, one of my mother's friends imports fabrics from Africa, so we had a good selection to pick from. The bad part is that we ran out of film quickly and my mom didn't really know how to use the digital - which then promptly ran out of battery juice! It was cold and windy and the sun was going down. Out of about 30 pics; we ended up with about 5 good ones, of which, this one is the best (I think). I will have it enlarged and professionally mounted for Cam in the near future. They really are for him; mostly because my mom has absolutely no pictures of her with me obviously in belly. I wanted him to see mommy with big belly & big smiles, happily awaiting his arrival.

I haven't seen "Playing by Heart". But I'll definitely make sure to check it out. I've just been recently watching the Daily Show... I'm sad I missed to many episodes :(

I too knew of the show for years but didn't watch it. Thank goodness it's not like network tv where it would have been cancelled long ago!
